1. Introduction

Welcome to the Shameless Sobriety website. By accessing or using this website and engaging in our services, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions, which, together with our Privacy Policy, govern Shameless Sobriety’s relationship with you. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please discontinue use of the website and its services.

The term ‘Shameless Sobriety’ or ‘we’ or ‘us’ or ‘I’ refers to the sole proprietor, John Jenkinson, and any other person or individual employed by or representing Shameless Sobriety. The term ‘you’ refers to the user or viewer of this website and/or the client or clients engaging in any coaching services or any other service provided by Shameless Sobriety.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older to access and/or use any of Shameless Sobriety’s services or products.

3. Website Content

The content on this website is provided for general information and educational purposes. Shameless Sobriety reserves the right to modify or update any content without notice.

4. Disclaimer of Medical or Professional Advice

Shameless Sobriety is not a licensed provider of medical, psychological, or mental health services. Information and services provided are for educational and informational purposes only and are not intended to diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition. The content and services offered should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice, counselling, treatment, or any other support provided by an appropriate and qualified professional. Always consult a healthcare provider before starting any new wellness, fitness, or lifestyle program. Your use of the services or information provided is at your own risk, and Shameless Sobriety does not guarantee specific outcomes.

5. Coaching Agreement

The coaching relationship is a collaborative process focused on helping clients reduce or stop their alcohol consumption. Individual results vary, and there are no guarantees of success. You are responsible for engaging fully in the process, and the outcome depends on your commitment. By accessing or using this website and engaging in our services, you agree to consult a licensed and relevant medical, psychological, or mental health professional prior to using any coaching services, and agree that any such professionals have confirmed your suitability to proceed with our coaching services. If at any point during your use of any coaching services or if at any point during our coaching relationship any such licensed or otherwise qualified professional declares you are not suitable to access or engage in our services, you agree to inform Shameless Sobriety as soon as is reasonably possible and agree to discontinue the coaching relationship and any other related services.

6. Booking Policy

  • All coaching sessions must be booked via the website or agreed-upon booking platform.
  • Full payment is required to confirm your booking, except for the free introductory call.
  • Sessions will be confirmed by email once payment is received, with further information provided by email as appropriate and necessary.

7. Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled session to be eligible to reschedule the session.
  • If you cancel less than 48 hours before your session, you will forfeit the full payment.
  • Rescheduling is subject to availability. If no suitable rescheduled date can be agreed upon between you and Shameless Sobriety, Shameless Sobriety will offer you a refund, at its discretion.
  • Sessions may be rescheduled no more than two times. If you do not attend a rescheduled session, you will forfeit the full payment.
  • If Shameless Sobriety need to cancel or reschedule a session, Shameless Sobriety will provide as much notice as possible and offer either a rescheduled date or a full refund.

8. Refund Policy

  • No refunds will be issued after the session has taken place, regardless of your satisfaction with the outcome.
  • No refunds will be issued in the event of your failure to attend a scheduled session.
  • No refunds will be issued should a licensed and relevant medical, psychological, or mental health professional declare that you are not suitable to access or engage in any of our services.
  • No refunds will be issued should Shameless Sobriety terminate the coaching relationship as a result of any concerns that arise from our obligations to you and
    safeguarding policies (see “My Obligations to You” and “Danger to Self or Others”).
  • No refunds will be issued due to your failure to comply or adhere to these terms and conditions, whether in part or in full.
  • For services such as the 5-week plan, or any other package or block service or plan, partial refunds will not be issued if you choose to discontinue the program midway or at any other point.
  • Any other refund requests will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and authorisation will be at the discretion of Shameless Sobriety.

9. My Obligations to You

I take my obligations to you seriously and commit to maintaining a safe and professional relationship throughout the coaching process. However, as I am not a therapist or licensed medical professional, you are solely responsible for your health and well-being. If at any point I believe you need to seek professional medical or psychological assistance, I will inform you and may discontinue the coaching relationship until you receive appropriate help.

10. Danger to Self or Others

If, during our coaching sessions, I believe you are a danger to yourself or others, I reserve the right to take appropriate action. This may include:

  • Referring you to a licensed and relevant medical, psychological, or mental health professional and/or relevant emergency services.
  • Contacting someone in your support network.
  • Suspending or terminating the coaching relationship.

Please note that, as a non-medical professional, my role is to guide you towards appropriate services when these situations arise.

11. Limitation of Liability

Shameless Sobriety and its owner, John Jenkinson, are not liable for any direct or indirect damages that may arise from your participation in coaching sessions or your use of this website or its services, or any direct or indirect damages that may arise from your adhering to or failure to adhere to these terms and conditions, whether in part or in full. This includes, but is not limited to, personal injury, financial loss, or emotional distress.

12. Use at Your Own Risk

The use of any information or materials on this website or through using any of the services provided by Shameless Sobriety, coaching or otherwise, is entirely at your own risk. It is your responsibility to ensure that any services, products, or information available through the website or through the coaching services meet your specific needs.

13. Confidentiality

Your privacy is important to me. All personal information shared during coaching sessions will be kept confidential, except in the following situations:

  • You give explicit permission to share the information.
  • I am required to disclose information by law.
  • I believe there is a risk of harm to you or others (see “Danger to Self or Others”).

14. Intellectual Property

This website contains content that is either owned by or licensed to Shameless Sobriety, including but not limited to design, layout, text, and graphics. Reproduction or redistribution of this material is prohibited without prior permission, in line with applicable copyright laws.

15. Trademarks

Any trademarks displayed on the website that are not owned by Shameless Sobriety are acknowledged where applicable. Unauthorised use of this website may result in a claim for damages and/or legal action.

16. External Links

From time to time, this website may include links to external websites. These links are provided for your convenience, but Shameless Sobriety is not responsible for the content of any third-party sites and does not endorse them.

17. Cookies

This website uses cookies to monitor browsing preferences. By using the site, you consent to our use of cookies in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

18. No Warranties

Shameless Sobriety makes no warranties or guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of the information and materials provided on this website. Information may contain inaccuracies, and we expressly exclude liability for any such errors to the fullest extent allowed by law.

19. Fitness to Participate

By engaging in coaching programs, you confirm that you are mentally and physically fit to participate. It is your responsibility to disclose any mental health conditions or substance use concerns that may affect your ability to engage in the process. I reserve the right to suspend or terminate the coaching relationship if I believe continuing is not in your best interest without professional support.

20. Termination of Services

I reserve the right to terminate the coaching relationship at any time for any reason, including but not limited to non-compliance with the coaching process, disrespectful or inappropriate behaviour, concerns over the safety of yourself or others (see “My Obligations to You” and “Danger to Self or Others”), or if I feel the relationship is no longer beneficial to either party. If termination occurs, any refunds, whether partial or in full, for any unused sessions already paid for will be considered on a case-by-case basis and will be at the discretion of Shameless Sobriety.

21. Governing Law

Your use of this website and any disputes arising out of such use or use of our services are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
